Republican Town Committee Endorses Deb Ritchie to Replace Sarah Schneider-Zuro on Board of Education

Debra Ritchie, a member of the Representative Town Meeting, was endorsed by the Republican Town Committee on Thursday night to fill the Board of Education seat just vacated by fellow Republican Sarah Schneider-Zuro. Schneider-Zuro sent in a sudden resignation notice on Sept. 5 without public explanation. The Board of Education is expected to vote on a replacement for her in upcoming weeks. Republican Town Chairman Brent Hayes, who is also a member of the RTM, issued this statement announcing the endorsement:
“[T]he Darien Republican Town Committee endorsed Debra Ritchie for the Board of Education at our meeting last night.
