On Friday, Nov. 11,  a police officer saw that a stop sign at the intersection of Hollow Tree Ridge Road and Linden Avenue had been knocked down. At 8 a.m., the officer replaced it with a temporary sign until the town Department of Public Works could replace it. No good deed goes unpunished: The next day, police were told the sign was missing. The same officer went back to the scene of the crime and confirmed that the sign was, indeed gone.
