Children’s Library ‘Darien Olympians’ Summer Reading Program

Darien Children’s Library invites all kids aged birth to 12 to participate in this year’s Summer Reading Club, “Darien Olympians: Go for the Gold!” Registration is set to open Monday, June 6. Participants who register between June 6 and June 16 will be entered into a special raffle for a BB-8™ robot, and the Library will draw a winner on Friday, June 17 at 5:30 p.m.
The Library offers two Summer Reading options for children: one for pre-readers and one for solo readers. Pre-readers aged 5 and under are welcome to join the Read-to-Me Club and for every ten books they read with a grown-up they will receive a free book (up to three). Independent readers up to age 12 are cordially invited to join the Summer Reading Club and accept the Olympic Reading Challenge of reading a range of 20 different genres and types of books. Olympic Reading Challenge finishers will have their name entered into the Grand Prize Raffle.
