Senior Moments: History of the 1950s and 1960s Through Popular Song

Thursday, Oct. 8 at 3 p.m.

Senior Moments, a monthly coffee and conversation program designed specifically for seniors, will meet in the Community Room. In the 1950s and 1960s, popular music evolved from being an escape from reality to being a powerful method of communication. Relive this colorful time in our history. In this presentation, performer Marc Black uses a wide range of popular songs including surprising favorites like Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini, great rock tunes like Blue Suede Shoes and moving folk songs like Bob Dylan’s Blowin’ in the Wind.
