UPDATE, 1:17 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 9: From an email sent by Greg Bauer, one of the organizers:
“[B]oth of our speakers, Chief Lovello and SRO James Palmieri, have unfortunately had separate last minute conflicts arise, and they notified me they will not be able to join us this Saturday morning. While other officers kindly said they would be pleased to fill in, and we appreciate their willingness to do so, Tim and I think it’s best to reschedule their topic for another time. “So, our next Fathers’ Forum meeting will be held on March 18 at the Darien YMCA from 8:00am to 9:30am, when Ingrid Gillespie, Executive Director of Communities4Action presents the findings of a ground breaking program called The 40 Developmental Assets…..requirements for children to grow from childhood through adolescence and into adulthood. We look forward to Ingrid’s presentation which we know will stimulate a great discussion. Please don’t hesitate to reach us if you have any questions.” Original announcement:
Both Darien Police Chief Duane Lovello, who’s about to retire, and James Palmieri, who recently left his position as the police school resource officer at Darien High School (and is now assigned to the Detective Division) will speak Saturday morning, Feb.
