Since Cheryl joined the Chamber in 2016, she has become an instrumental member of our organization and the Board of Directors. Cheryl has been the marketing chairman, the vice president of the Executive Board in 2018 and 2019, and the co-chair of the DCC Wine & Food Tasting event in 2017.

NEAT Coffee Celebrates 10th Anniversary With Giveaways and a Party on Saturday, Aug 31

Ten years ago, Darien NEAT, an artisan coffee bar and roasting company, opened its Darien location on Grove Street Plaza, and this Saturday, Aug. 31, it’s celebrating with drink specials and giveaway chances all day, then a party from 6 to 8 p.m.

“Thank you to our NEAT family and wonderful customers for 10 years of success.” the coffee shop said in a brief announcement. “We would not be here without you!” In its newsletter on Tuesday, the Darien Chamber of Commerce described NEAT as a business that helped foster a sense of community in Darien:

“NEAT quickly became part of the Darien fabric and created it’s own community within our community!

Here is a statement from Susan Cator, president and executive director of the Darien Chamber of Commerce, on the proposed checkout bag ordinance for Darien.
