‘Primacy of Color III’ Exhibit at Carriage Barn Arts Center

Join members of the New York Society of Women Artists exhibiting in The Primacy Of Color III at the Carriage Barn Arts Center. This group of professional women painters and sculptors share a love for the emotive, symbolic and psychological aspects of color, with points of view that range from the recognizable to full dynamic abstraction. NYSWA artists draw inspiration from their precursors such as Gabriel Munter, Helen Frankenthaler, Georgia O’Keefe and Lee Krasner, among others, to bring life and energy to visual form. NYSWA artists, each with her own professional history, have joined together to create exciting theme exhibitions. The organization, founded in 1925 provided support, comradely and exhibition opportunities for women professionals in a field long dominated by men.
