“Budget extra time and patience. Bring a copy of your child’s schedule (available in Aspen under “Published Reports”) and proceed to your first classroom for a 7:15 bell. During a “free” period attend a Guidance grade-level presentation, or cruise by the Cafeteria for refreshments, spirit wear sales, and DHS publications.
“DHSPA [Darien High School Parents Association] Directory for sale in Cafe, Main Entrance, and outside Library, 1 for $20, 2 for $30. Directory sales end at 8:45. Enjoy the evening and welcome!”

The Darien Police Department is issuing a traffic advisory related to the Darien High School Open House that is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 15, 2016 at 7 p.m.

Parents who are attending the event should be aware that parking at the high school is limited. Carpooling is strongly encouraged.
Due to the large amount of traffic that is anticipated it will be necessary to limit vehicular access to the high school campus.
As of 6 p.m. on the evening of the event, access to the high school will be via the Noroton Avenue entrance only. High School Lane and Nutmeg Lane will be closed to traffic entering the high school.
Darien Police officers and Darien High School security personnel will be present to assist with an orderly method of parking. It will also be necessary to strictly enforce no-parking regulations in order to allow the free movement of vehicles at the end of the event.
