A 57-year-old Darien man was yelling at someone at home at about 1 a.m., Thursday, June 20, and when confronted by a fellow resident of a house on Holmes Avenue, he pushed the resident, police said.

Darien police described what happened with this account, including accusations not proven in court (police did not say if the victim was male or female, adult or child, under state law):

The victim had confronted the man about his yelling so late at night. The man then yelled at the victim before pushing the victim. After the man pushed the victim, another resident of the house intervened.

Police were called to the scene at 1:38 a.m. The man admitted he had pushed the victim.

He was charged with disorderly conduct and issued a misdemeanor summons to appear later that same day, June 20, in state Superior Court in Stamford, and he is scheduled to appear there again on July 25.
