A 33-year-old Darien man yelled, banged on a door and caused some damage to a wall before someone called police at 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 23, police said.

Police also said he was issued a misdemeanor summons to go to court later that day. But the Connecticut Judicial Branch website indicates that he didn’t show up in court, and his arrest has been ordered.

Police gave this additional information in an account of the matter, including accusations not proven in court:

Officers went to the house on Mansfield Avenue near its intersection with Overbrook Lane, where the man had woken up more than one person. Police saw the door and part of a nearby wall were both damaged.

The man was issued a misdemeanor summons charging him with disorderly conduct. Since the case is considered a domestic incident, he was told to appear later that day in state Superior Court in Stamford. When police file charges in domestic incidents, people charged are told to appear in court at the next available date.
