Patrick Houlihan, major league baseball vice president and deputy general counsel for labor relations, will talk about “State of Play: Major League Baseball in 2018,” on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at the Darien Men’s Association.
His talk will include the current state of the game and recent changes, plus trends on and off the field.

Patrick represents the Commissioner’s Office and the 30 major league clubs in all matters involving the Major League Baseball Players Association that is the labor union representing all 40-man roster players.
His work includes player discipline; salary arbitration; player health and safety; player pensions; drug testing; and other matters involving the interpretation and application of the collective bargaining agreement or the Major League Rules.
His talk starts at 10:45 a.m. and is open to the public. Guest passes are available at the membership desk just outside the meeting room.
