Greg Ehlers, a Republican, is challenging Democratic state Sen. (and Majority Leader) Bob Duff in the 25th Senate District, covering Norwalk and part of Darien.
Duff Has Long Supported Environmental Protection and Community Projects
To the editor:
Senator Bob Duff has been a steadfast advocate for our environment, for the protection of natural open space and for conservancy in general.
I have had the privilege of knowing Bob for over 10 years through his involvement with various community projects. For example, Bob’s dedication to helping to establish and protect the White Barn Preserve, an important habitat, aquifer and green space, is notable.
He works side by side with the community, listens to our concerns and ideas and has been a very dependable source of support.
Protecting our parks, open space and waterways assures clean air and water for us and for future generations. Bob has earned our vote-and we need his continued leadership in Hartford.
Its no surprise the Connecticut League of Conservation Voters named Senate Majority Leader Bob Duff as one its “2016 Legislative Champions.”
Thank you Bob.

Reasons to Vote for Ehlers Instead of Duff
To the editor:
Why Should Darien Voters Choose Greg Ehlers for State Senator?
Greg is a first time candidate, not a career politician.
He is running to restore an environment where great jobs can be found and taxes are not the highest in the country.
In my personal opinion, he is running for a better future and that cannot happen with the same people who are leading Connecticut today.
Here we are:
- Darien receives a penny back for every tax dollar we send to Hartford and $200 million was sent from Darien in 2015.
- Instead of funding your children’s schools, Malloy and Duff will spend this money in other towns and UNIONS across Connecticut.
- Thanks to Malloy and Duff, many educational priorities will need to be cut from the budget. This means schools will not be able to afford many needed items.
This is why I am voting for Greg Ehlers.
