The Children’s Library will be welcoming dancers from The Radio City Rockettes to Darien Library, although they aren’t expected to be dancing here.

Families are invited to join a special craft workshop from 4 to 5 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 13 to make items that can light up the night.

At the holiday-lights-themed crafting sessions, children and families from the local communities will be able to decorate jars filled with festive lights.

After the activity, families are invited to pose and take photographs with our visiting guests.

Before rehearsals begin for the 2018 Christmas Spectacular, the Radio City Rockettes are kicking-off this year’s upcoming performances by visiting six local tri-state area libraries to engage with fans and families. Darien Library is the only location they’re visiting in Connecticut.

Children ages 3 and up are welcome with their caregivers.
No registration required.

If any kicking or dancing occurs at the crafts workshop, it will likely come from the children. It’s not on the agenda for the Rockettes’ visit. However, the Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes will run from Nov. 9 to Jan. 1 this Christmas Season at Radio City Music Hall.
