John Stuart Sunden passed away on June 13, 2015, at the age of 67 with his family by his side. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 15, 1947. He was the second child of Stuart and Ada Sunden. John was a lifelong resident of Darien and a graduate of Darien High in 1966.

He married Rosemarie Ann Sunden in July of 1972. John was a successful owner of Sparkle Pools based in Darien, CT. He was an avid woodworker and enjoyed traveling to see his children.
He was preceded in death by his wife Rosemarie who also passed on June 13th of 1991. He is survived by his children Christine Sunden and her fiancé Michael Gerard of New Braintree, MA and Jay Sunden and his wife Aly of Charlotte, NC, his sister Jane G. Romanello and her children Valerie A. Neumann, Jeffrey S. Romanello and Laura C. Romanello.
A burial will take place at Spring Grove Cemetery and a celebration of his life will be held on at 11 a.m. Friday, July 24, 2015.
