A burglar broke into Bob’s Furniture and Gun Exchange in the early hours of last Saturday morning, March 28, but left right after a burglar alarm sounded at the 429 Post Road business, Darien police said.

Police gave these further details about what happened:

A security camera showed that the burglar (not described by the police announcement in any way) broke the top section of the glass in the front door and pushed the door open when the alarm sounded.

The burglar alarm alerted police at 4:39 a.m. Officers arriving at the scene saw the door’s broken glass. Nothing appeared to be missing from the store.

Police detectives were called to the scene to examine it for evidence.
