Darien Sidewalk Sales Days have been extended into Sunday, from noon to 4 p.m., by some of the participating stores and businesses after a downpour Friday afternoon dampened the turnout.
The Sunday extension “gives the families where parents both work another chance to take part” in the event, said Susan Cator, director of the Darien Chamber of Commerce, which organized the event.
