Three vehicles were entered on Edgerton Street sometime overnight from Wednesday to Thursday, May 13 to 14, police were told, and one of the vehicles was in an unlocked garage. A wallet with some bank cards was stolen.

Apparently on the same night, a vehicle was entered on Hollow Tree Ridge Road, about a half-mile away.

Darien police gave out these additional details:

23 Edgerton St.

The victim closed his garage door Wednesday night, but at 7 a.m. the next morning he found the door open and the front passenger door of his 2020 Land Rover was ajar.

The contents of the sport utility vehicle’s storage compartments were disturbed, and the man’s wallet was missing. In it were various bank and credit cards, his driver’s license and $200 in cash.

A Trek bicycle was also stolen, but it was found near 40 Edgerton St.

40 Edgerton St.

The victim told police that in the morning he found items from disturbed that were in storage compartments of his unlocked Honda Odyssey. Nothing appeared to be missing.

26 Edgerton St.

The victim’s unlocked Audi Q7 was entered overnight and items in the storage compartments were disturbed. Nothing seemed to be missing.

225 Hollow Tree Ridge Road

At 12 noon on Thursday, May 14, a female knocked on the door and told a resident that she’d found paperwork belonging to the victim close by, at the corner of Hollow Tree Ridge Road and Middlesex Road.

The paperwork was registration and insurance papers from the victim’s Audi Q5, parked unlocked in the driveway overnight. Nothing else in the SUV appeared to be missing.
