The 12 hour, two part, nationally certified course on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 10 and 11, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (both days), helps individuals and communities better understand mental health issues.

This course is also designed to provide people with key skills to help someone experiencing a mental health crisis.

Like CPR training helps a non-medical professional assist an individual following a heart attack, mental health first aid training helps an individual who doesn’t have clinical training assist someone experiencing a mental health crisis.
