Packages delivered by Federal Express to the front door of a Glenwood Drive home were stolen before the victim ever saw them, she told Darien police.
The packages were delivered at 2:15 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 13, according to the company. The resident who ordered them recalled much later that they hadn’t been delivered, and she reported the matter to police on Oct. 30.
The packages contained a variety of items, including a charm bracelet, chair covers, fireplace accessories and hooks for decorations, all ordered from Sundance. Altogether, the goods were priced at $386. The company agreed to replace the items at no cost and reship them.
Police asked nearby neighbors if they’d noticed anything suspicious, but they hadn’t.
