Community business support for local not for profits has always been wonderful, and this year’s corporate sponsorship of the Darien Nature Center annual fundraiser,  “Fireside,” on Saturday, Oct. 21 has been record-breaking, the organization said in an announcement.

Here’s the rest of the announcement:

“All types and sizes of businesses are participating in our fundraiser and we are so delighted to say ‘Thank you!’ for their support of our work to promote access to, and appreciation for, nature to all ages,” said Leila Wetmore, executive director of Darien Nature Center. “We are very grateful to our corporate sponsors who have stepped up with such enthusiasm and generosity.”

Ring’s End will be a lead sponsor, along with Callari Auto Group. Other local businesses supporting the Nature Center event with financial sponsorship include, Bartlett Tree Experts, Cove Tent Company, Darien Bank and Trust, Dental Arts of Darien, Moffly Media, Rand Insurance, Swimm Pools and Whole Foods Market.

In addition, over 30 local businesses are providing in-kind support and helping the Nature Center reach its goal to raise $75,000 that evening.

“The Darien Nature Center is a gem to our town, and we are proud to be their partner,” said Laurie Griffith of Darien Bank & Trust. “I look forward to this event each year — they throw a great party!”

The come-dressed-for-the-weather evening will feature a bonfire, delicious food, live music by The Uninvited, dancing under the stars, a silent auction of wonderful things and lots of fun all around. Tickets are $125 and can be purchased online.
