Advanced Class in June: Guided Play Mah Jongg — Four Weeks

You’ve learned to play American Mah Jongg, and you’re hooked. This four week session will offer lots of playing time and the chance to meet other players, with instructor Donna Holt on hand to oversee play.
She will be available to help with all aspects of the game, from choosing your hand, to guiding the group through any rules or etiquette questions that arise.
Come meet others mad for Mah Jongg and build your confidence. Please bring your 2019 card to each class.
Please note: Players should already be familiar with both rules of play and the NMJL card. This class is offered on four Wednesdays (June 5, 12, 19 and 26) from 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon.
Class fees covering the four dates are $85, or $70 for DCA members. Prepayment is required by noon on Monday, June 3. Minimum enrollment applies.

Beginner Class in July: Learn-to-Play Boot Camp
Don’t have time to devote to new activities during the busy months of September through June? Come learn the fun, addictive and stimulating game of American Mah Jongg in less than a week, in an encouraging, relaxing summer atmosphere.
From Monday through Thursday morning, you will learn the basics of understanding the tiles and the Mah Jongg card, and how to select and strengthen a winning hand. Rules and strategies of play as well as game etiquette will be covered.
You’ll be set before fall to play with your friends who are already Mah Jongg enthusiasts! Please order your 2019 card at nationalmahjonggleague.org once class is confirmed.
This class is offered on four days in a row — Tuesday through Friday: July 9 through 12, from 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon.
Class fees covering the four days are $115, or $95 for DCA members. Prepayment is required by Wednesday, July 3. Minimum enrollment applies.
