— an announcement from Darien Library
“Prescott crafts a clock-and-dagger story of passion, espionage, and propaganda,” said The Wall Street Journal.
The novel is inspired by a true CIA plot to infiltrate Soviet Russia through the greatest love story of the twentieth century: Doctor Zhivago.
According to a recent “Note to Shelf” feature about book recommendations on the Darien Library website:
- “The novel is set during the Cold War. It tracks the stories of many different characters from Washington DC to Russia. It is a love story, a historical account of a perilous turning point in our nation’s history, and a page-turning spy thriller all wrapped into one.”
