Come celebrate the uniqueness of shopping in Darien! 98 percent of our shops and restaurants are owned locally! There are many benefits to shopping and dining locally:
~ In an increasingly homogenized world, our “one-of-a-kind” shops give Darien a distinctive character.
~Our local businesses generously donate to our local non-profits and schools year after year. Shopping locally helps keep our community strong!
~Locally owned businesses are the ones that give our teens and students their first jobs and internships!
~Shopping local uses less gas, is convenient and friendly!
~ Many of our locally owned businesses will have specials for shoppers on Saturday, November 28th—a great reason to visit a favorite store or discover something new in town!
You will find Darien themed “Blue and White” balloons outside At Home in the Heights, Barrett Bookstore, Beadz Boutique, Baubles, Chocolate Works, Coco & Grace, Darien Sport Shop, Darien Toy Box, Everything is Rosey, Gofer Ice Cream, Grieb’s Pharmacy, Kirby and Company, Spree, Tina Dragone, The Dock Shop, Town House Finds + Designs and Wiggles and Giggles signaling that they are participating with specials for the day. Look for the “Shop Small” logo around town and find “the unique.”
Caption: Shop owners and managers came together to promote “Shop Small Saturday” throughout Darien’s shopping including Downtown, Noroton Heights and Goodwives Shopping Center.
