Betty C. Schley, 76, passed away on June 14 at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford after a long illness.
Born on Oct. 17, 1940 in Stamford to Charles and Pauline Ralston, she and her husband Edward Schley of 54 years, were residents of Darien for nearly 40 years.
After a successful career in real estate and working for Crate and Barrel, Betty retired in 2012.
In addition to Edward, she is survived by her daughter, Deborah Wahlberg of Hingham, Mass. and her son, Michael Schley of Norwalk, a brother Charles Ralston of Sarasota, Fl, two sisters Charline Ziemba of Hamden, and Judy Thomas of Westport; two grandchildren, Madison and Ethan Wahlberg, and many nieces and nephews.

Betty will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 22 at the funeral home.
