A 62-year-old Darien man at Stamford Hospital twice called a person he was barred by a restraining order from contacting, police said, so he was arrested and remains in jail. Police described the incident and arrest with this account (including accusations not proven in court):

The Darien man had the restraining order after a domestic violence incident. At a 2:38 p.m. on Sunday, April 17, he called the victim from the hospital and struck up a conversation. He later told police he called the victim just to say he was leaving the hospital. The victim told the man not to come back to the house and reminded him that he wasn’t permitted to contact the victim — then hung up and informed police of the violation of the restraining order.
