Sawyer Fredericks, a Winner on ‘The Voice’ Headlines Entertainment at Norwalk Oyster Festival

The Norwalk Seaport Association announced tonight that Sawyer Frederick, winner of NBC’s Emmy Award-winning The Voice competition in 2015, will be the headline entertainment on Saturday during the 2016 Norwalk Seaport Association Oyster Festival. This year’s Oyster Festival will be held Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 10 to 11, 2016. First County Bank will be presenting sponsor of the festival for the sixth consecutive year. Sawyer Fredericks, a Newtown native, wowed audiences of The Voice with his soulful, contemporary folk sound. As part of “Team Pharrell,” he emerged as the youngest victor in the show’s history at just 16-years-old. Moreover, he made Voice history, becoming the first artist to land 14 songs in the iTunes Overall Top 200 Songs Chart in one week.
