Public Information Meeting on Noroton Heights Area Study

A public information meeting for the Noroton Heights Station Area Study will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, Jan 18 in the Mather Center Cafe Extension. An update on the study will be presented, and you can provide input on potential improvements to the area around the railroad station. An opportunity will be provided for interested citizens to participate in a tabletop exercise to discuss recommendations in more detail with members of the project team. The purpose of this study is to identify and address transportation needs in the station area relative to safety, traffic operations, accessibility, pedestrian and bicycle facilities, and parking. An important component of the study process is public outreach to Darien residents, business owners, commuters and local stakeholders who are concerned about transportation in Noroton Heights.
