John Mucci is a well-known local film historian and silent film accompanist, who has performed extensively on the east coast, as well as in Westchester, Pittsburgh, and Phoenix. He has taught film and video at Sacred Heart and Fairfield Universities, lectured on silents at ArtsEscape as well as libraries in the area, and can be heard accompanying dozens of classic silent films.
As a composer, he has also co-written 11 musical plays that have been performed internationally, and scores for two docudramas for Connecticut Public TV were nominated for New England Emmy awards.
