The LUNG FORCE Expo – Hartford organized by the American Lung Association, is an opportunity for patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals to learn more about the latest treatments, resources and research to help improve the quality of life for those with lung cancer and other lung diseases. — an announcement from the American Lung Association

The Expo will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2019 at the Sheraton Hartford South Hotel at 100 Capital Blvd., Rocky Hill, with a program for professionals from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and a patient/caregiver program from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Featured speakers and topics include:

Andrea Borondy Kitts, Lahey Health, will discuss lung cancer screening, eligibility and impact of early detection
Deb Chabot, Lahey Health, will discuss asthma management
Dr. O’Neil Green, Baystate Medical Center, will discuss COPD and the patients benefits to a multidisciplinary team
Dr. Laki Rousou, Mercy Medical Center, will discuss surgical minimally invasive surgery and radiation therapy for patients with lung cancer
Dr. Antarpreet Kaur, St. Francis Hospital, will discuss pulmonary rehab
Presentations by lung cancer survivors
