Audobon Greenwich Hawk Watch 8-21-16

Hawk Watch Season Kick-off at Audobon Greenwich

Did you know that an average of 20,000 hawks, eagles, falcons and vultures migrate over our Quaker Ridge Hawk Watch every fall? Come join our hawk-counter Ryan MacLean as we kick off another hawk watching season to learn how we identify and tally raptors at Audubon Greenwich and other hawk watches across the country. We’ll begin with a presentation in Kiernan Hall followed by a short walk to the Hawk Watch lawn where you’ll learn how to use binoculars and with some luck hopefully see a few raptors up close. Bring your own binoculars or borrow one of our loaner pairs. Picnic refreshments will be served on the lawn afterwards.
