Just after midnight on Saturday, police went to a home on Hoyt Street, where an 18-year-old was so intoxicated that a Darien EMS-Post 53 ambulance took the teenager to a hospital for treatment, police said.
The police announcement didn’t say who made the 12:05 a.m. call, whether anyone else was at the home when they arrived, or even whether the teen was male or female, but apparently the 18-year-old’s parents weren’t there, because police contacted the homeowner.
The teenager told police some friends had been invited over to the home and there was alcohol drinking. Police issued the teen an infraction on the charge of possession of alcohol by a person under 21. No court date was mentioned.
