Moped Locked with Chain Reported Stolen from Noroton Heights Railroad Station Bike Rack

A moped valued at $2,000 was stolen from the bike racks at Noroton Heights Railroad Station sometime between Thursday, Sept. 26 and Saturday, Sept. 28.

At 5:20 p.m., Saturday, the theft was reported to police. A police announcement didn’t specify what time of day the man left the moped there or when he later discovered it had been taken, along with the lock.

The victim said the moped was secured to a bike rack with a lock and chain.

The police announcement did not say whether they looked at video surveillance records of the station.
