Fredric & Co. salon owners Connie Hatterman and Janet Montanaro along with their generous staff who are donating their time, are opening up their salon at 1060 Post Road, Darien on Sunday, May 20 from 1 to 4 p.m. to benefit STAR, Inc., Lighting the Way.

The Salon Day for STAR, “Bubbles and Blow-outs,” will offer a STAR Special Hair Blowout for just $30! Men are also welcome to join the fun for a stylish haircut for $30.
One hundred percent of the funds raised will be donated to benefit STAR, Inc., Lighting the Way, serving our neighbors who are impacted by intellectual and developmental disabilities since 1952.

STAR, Inc., Lighting the Way is a not-for-profit organization established in 1952 to serve individuals of all ages who have intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as providing support services to their families.
STAR creates opportunities for individuals to live full lives with independence, freedom of choice and personal growth by providing support, services and advocacy.
Headquartered in Norwalk and with new offices at 15 Cross St., Norwalk and 111 Elm St., New Canaan, STAR annually serves over 600 individuals from birth through their senior years in Fairfield County. They aim to inform and encourage the community to recognize and appreciate the value of all individuals.
