Double Exposure Consignment Boutique is excited to announce its 20th-anniversary celebration in the year 2020. A Best of the Gold Coast winner, woman-owned Double Exposure caters to the Fairfield County community and its growing high-end resale market.

On Thursday, January 30, 2020 from 4-6 pm Double Exposure Boutique, located at 1958 Post Road, Darien, CT, will host an event to celebrate 20 years in the consignment business under the ownership of Mern Palmer-Smith. “Over these last 20 years we have formed a strong bond with our consignors and long-time customers and we look forward to maintaining and strengthening those relationships both with our valued customers and the community at large ” says Palmer-Smith.

At the 20th-anniversary event, Double Exposure’s in-house stylist, Tiffany Martinez will showcase new arrivals for the Spring/Summer season. The event will also include refreshments and a raffle for four (4) $50 gift cards.  To honor its history of working with local charities, Double Exposure has invited Lana Gifas of the Women’s Mentoring Network to attend and is asking guests to bring a donation of personal care items (shampoo, lotion, soap, etc.), laundry detergent, and/or cold weather accessories (gloves, hats, scarves).

Double Exposure Consignment Boutique has been in Darien for a total of 45 years (20 years under Mern Palmer-Smith’s ownership) offering customers a way to recycle and reuse clothing, shoes and accessories.  Consumers are able to feel good about buying something that can help, even in the smallest way, save the environment, and at the same time get gently used or sometimes new items for less than retail price, and also recycle items they no longer want or need to earn some extra money. In recent years, with a shift in focus to more environmentally friendly businesses, consignment shops are becoming the new way to shop.
