Ginger (Virginia) Dewey Charles passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Renown Medical Center in Reno, Nev. on March 18.
Ginger Dewey Charles, 82, passed away on March 18. Her funeral is scheduled for April 1.
She was born April 12,1934 in Bronxville, N.Y., the daughter of Helen S. Dewey and Robert M. Dewey. Ginger was raised in Darien along with her sister Jeanne (Dewey) Hart and her brothers Peter and Robert Dewey. She was a graduate of Pine Manor College in 1955.
She lived much of her life in Southern and then Northern California raising her three children, she loved supporting their activities and volunteered in many capacities in her community.
She is survived by her two sons, Chuck (Susan), and Richard (Jennifer); five grandsons and two granddaughters; two great-grandson’s and her sister Jeanne Hart and brother Robert Dewey. She is preceded in death by her beloved daughter Julie Braga and her much loved brother Peter, and her parents.
Services will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, April 1, 2017, at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Pleasant Hill, Ca.
