Three on Darien Police Force Each Mark 35 Years of Service

Three uniformed members of the Darien Police Department recently marked their 35th year on the force — Police Chief Ray Osborne, Capt. Donald Anderson and Lt. George Vitone. Anderson and Osborne actually joined the force on the same day back in 1983, the men previously recalled. At the most recent Darien Police Commission meeting, Chairman J. Paul Johnson brought the matter up:

Darien’s new police chief, Ray Osborne, gave these comments Wednesday after he was sworn in as the town’s 10th chief of police in Darien Town Hall:
