Four Unlocked Vehicles Entered on Fitch Ave; Next Night, One More on Dickinson Road

Four unlocked vehicles were entered overnight last Wednesday to Thursday, all unlocked and outside of homes at four addresses on Fitch Avenue, according to police. Nothing was taken from any of them.
Over the next night, another vehicle was entered a block over, on Dickinson Road — that vehicle also was unlocked and, again, nothing was reported taken.

DHS Admins: Cheating With ‘Widely Shared’ Exam Answers in Two Classes Means Retest for Some 10th Graders

Cheating resulting from test answers being “widely shared” for two exams at Darien High School has led school officials to reschedule parts of the tests for all students who took them.
Principal Ellen Dunn and the English and Social Studies Department chairs announced the move in a message on Friday to parents of 10th grade students.

‘South Pacific’-Themed Dinner, Concert and IMAX Movie on Saturday, Feb 8 in Norwalk

For one night only, Saturday, Feb. 8, you can have a “South Pacific”-themed dinner and a concert along with an IMAX movie in Norwalk. The “midwinter tropical escape” has three parts:
The highlight is a concert with Broadway actors and Norwalk Symphony Orchestra performing songs from the musical “South Pacific”; also, a prix fixe dinner at one of several Norwalk restaurants; and before all that, an IMAX movie at the Maritime Aquarium, “Journey to the South Pacific” will be presented twice in the afternoon.

Darien High School Gymnasts Place Third Twice This Week But Find Their Feet
|
Darien gymnasts may have placed third in both their meets this week — but with overall scores of 130.9 at Trumbull and 131.5 at Saturday’s home meet, they still emerged victorious.
The team went up against St. Joseph High School and Trumbull High School a week ago Monday. Last Saturday they competed against Fairfield Warde and Fairfield Ludlowe.

AAA: THC Amount Doubled in Victims of Fatal Crashes Since Pot Legalized in Washington State

New research from the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety reports that of Washington state drivers involved in fatal crashes, the percentage who tested positive for active THC doubled since that state legalized pot in 2012.

Police: Leaving Scene Where She Struck a Sign Gets Woman, 35, Arrested for Evading Responsibility

A police officer saw a vehicle strike a sign in the parking lot of Holmes School then leave the scene on Friday evening, Jan. 24, police said.
He described the car for a police radio alert that resulted in Stamford police finding the car and driver, who was charged with evading responsibility, police said.
