Three Darien High School seniors have been selected as candidates for the United States Presidential Scholars Program. These DHS students — Jack Barber, Lily Cowles and Anna Debano — have been recognized based on broad academic achievement and having scored exceptionally well on the SAT or ACT. Individual students can’t apply to the program or be nominated. The program also announced another Darienite also named a scholar — Gouri Krishnan of Darien, a student at the King School in Stamford (formerly named the King & Low-Heywood Thomas School). The four students are among 138 candidates from Connecticut for this year’s program.
