GIRLS SQUASH
The GFA squash team placed fifth at the FAA championship tournament after topping St. Luke’s by a 5-2 score early last week. After losing in the top two slots, GFA swept the remaining matches to post the win. Ryan Boyle (Southport) won in four sets (11-8, 14-12, 6-11, 11-7), Kavya Krishnamurthy (Westport) won in four sets (11-3, 9-11, 11-2, 11-6) and Anya Bettegowda (Wilton), Annabelle Kreitler (Fairfield) and Keely O’Shea (Darien) won in straight sets. GIRLS SOCCER
Lauren Lior (Fairfield) scored twice to lead Greens Farms Academy to a 4-1 win over Westover on Wednesday. Margot Goldsmith (Darien) and Elyse Kimball (Westport) also scored goals for the Dragons. Lane Murphy (Darien) and Marygrace Dellisanti (Wilton) combined efforts in goal, making seven saves for the Dragons. Kimball scored twice, once of an assist from Annika White (Southport), as the Dragons wound up tying Holy Child by a 2-2 score later in the week.

VARSITY FIELD HOCKEY
The varsity field hockey team kicked off the season in a big way. Junior Zoe Koskinas (Fairfield) scored five goals while Keely O’Shea (Darien) had two goals and three assists to lead the Dragons to an 11-0 season-opening win at home on Saturday. Koskinas’ five goals in the game is believed to be a school record, according to head coach Liz Schuellein. Autumn Bartush (Norwalk) added two goals and an assist while single tallies came off the sticks of Laila Pina (Weston) and Laci Raveis (Fairfield)
