Dr. Patrick Anthony Correnty passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 1 at his home in Washington, D.C. He was 53. Patrick was born in Stamford, Connecticut on March 11, 1965 and is survived by his mother Joan Correnty and his father Anthony Correnty. A 1983 graduate of Darien High School, Patrick went on to receive his undergraduate degree at Washington and Jefferson College, attended Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine and conducted his residency at Georgetown University where he was awarded Outstanding Resident. As a youth, he had a strong desire to become a physician.

Donald “Don” Rice Rossbach, 63, passed away peacefully on Monday, Oct. 8 at his home in Darien, surrounded by his loving family. Don was born on March 9, 1955 in Red Bank, N.J. and was raised on the Jersey Shore. He obtained his BA in international studies from Dickinson University in 1977 and an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business in 1983. Don began his illustrious career in finance with Lehman Brothers and over his 35-year career, he was recognized as a principled, ethical investment professional with unwavering integrity.

Daniel Jenkins, a Darien resident for 45 years, passed away peacefully on Oct. 6, 2018. He was born in Dover, N.J. in 1930 to Katherine Penberthy and Arthur Jenkins and was raised in Short Hills, N.J. He served two years in the U.S. Army and went on to graduate with a B.S. in finance and commerce from Bucknell in 1953. Eventually Dan became a general management executive with Union Carbide. His job included a lot of hard work, travel and golf.

Janet Louise Martella, a longtime Darien resident, passed peacefully on Oct. 4, 2018 at the age of 90. Janet was born on March 9, 1928 in Larchmont, N.Y., the daughter of Helen Daly Werring Winkler and Frederick H. Werring. Her grandfather was Major George A. Daly, a decorated war hero in World War I who created and was the first sworn officer of the Federal probation system in 1927. Janet graduated from Rye High School in Rye, N.Y., where she was a core member of the field hockey team.

Lorraine Anne Pellegrino, 79, of Stamford passed away peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018 at Greenwich Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Archie and Elizabeth Soule. Lorraine enjoyed her position as a clerk at Stop & Shop in Noroton Heights in Darien for 14 years before her retirement. She is survived by her devoted son, Joseph J. Pellegrino, Jr. and his wife Jenifer of Bridgeport and her goddaughter, Betty Jean Vlicky Taylor, of Florida.
