James H. Cloud, a resident of Darien, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 30, 2015 in Darien. Born on May 25, 1931 in New Jersey, he was the son of the late John Keble and Dorothy Brown Cloud. He spent his early years in Cranford and Westfield before moving to Darien, CT when he was 12. He graduated from Woodberry Forest School in Orange, VA and from Yale University in 1952.

Laura Ehlers, a resident of Darien, passed away on Monday, Aug. 24, 2015 in Darien. She was born on August 31, 1964 in Miles City, Mont. She graduated from Billings West High School in 1981 and graduated from the University of Montana with a degree in business finance in 1985. She is survived by her husband Gregory; her three sons, Ryan, Ethan and Quenten; her parents Robert and Roberta Ehli of Billings, Mont.; a brother Brian Ehli of Helena, Mont.; a sister Pam Scharen of Billings, Mont.
William Flanagan Jr., 88 or 89 years old, died Thursday, Aug. 20. The former Darien resident had served eight years on the Planning & Zoning Commission, four years on the Monuments and Ceremonies Commission and a year on the Representative Town Meeting. He was a master fly fisherman, devoted Green Bay Packers fan and loved to vacation at the Gulf Shores, AL. Rob was a devoted husband and friend. He had a big heart and loved very deeply.

Kimberly Ann Benedetto-Lamendola (Kim) passed peacefully at Yale New Haven Hospital on the Aug. 19, at the age of 48. She was born in Stamford, CT on August 7, 1967 to Anthony and Sandra Benedetto, Jr.
In addition to her parents, Kim is survived by her husband of 12 years, John Lamendola, and her three loving children, Rodney Irizarry, Jr. (24), Jordan B. Irizarry (21) and Anthony Lamendola (10). Kim was predeceased by her brother, Scott Benedetto. Kim was a 1985 graduate of J.M. Wright Technical High School.

Born in Bridgeport on August 22, 1959, he was the son of Eugene and Barbara (Grassi) Gallucci of Fairfield. Mr. Gallucci was currently a service director for Porsche and employed in the automotive industry for over 30 years. Joe was an excellent cook, an avid cyclist and a race car driver. His great sense of humor and quick-wittedness will be missed by all who knew him.

Christopher Adam Blackman, 37, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2015 in the comfort of his home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. Chris was born on July 21, 1978 to John N. Blackman Jr. and Kathleen Cross Blackman, formerly of Darien, Conn., the first of three siblings. He grew up in Darien and attended Darien High School, where he excelled as a student and enjoyed playing on the Blue Wave football team. After graduating DHS in 1996, Chris attended Hamilton College, where he also played football and received a Bachelor of Arts in history in 2000. He subsequently received a degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2003.

Linnea Mary Prudence Larson Westlake was born on May 16, 1917, in Kodaikanal, India, the youngest of five children of Lutheran missionaries, the Rev. Oscar Leonard and Lilie Liliedahl Larson. Linnea passed from this life on July 27, 2015. The years in India made a lasting impression on young Linnea. She remembered traveling with her father to nearby villages where he taught and preached; she recalled occasionally living on a houseboat; and it was in India that she developed her lifelong love of nature. She treasured these vivid memories her entire life.
