DVCC Harvest Fest Domestic Violence Crisis Centee poster

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The Domestic Violence Crisis Center will host its annual fall fundraising event, Harvest Fest, on Friday, Oct. 21 at the Shorehaven Golf Club in Norwalk. — an announcement from the Domestic Violence Crisis Center

Darien police have announced “short-term” traffic restrictions during the annual Darien Road Race this Sunday morning, Sept. 18 in the area of Long Neck Point, Pear Tree Point, part of Tokeneke and a short stretch of Old Kings Highway South. The race starts at 9 a.m., with about 500 racers at Pear Tree Point Beach. (If you want to join the race, you can register here.)

Farm to Table Darien Land Trust Waterbury Field

Tickets are now on sale for the Darien Land Trust’s Farm to Table Dinner on Saturday, August 27, at 6 p.m. Waterbury Field will once again come alive with twinkling lights and white-linen tables set with wildflowers for 250 guests to dine at a Darien Land Trust property. A cocktail reception will kick off the evening at 6 p.m. with not only a cocktail, but wines from Sipstirs and craft beer from Two Roads Brewing.
