Panel Discussion Wednesday on Climate Change and Communities Vulnerable to It in CT

A panel discussion this Wednesday will on Today’s climate challenges in Connecticut, including the disparate impacts of climate change on vulnerable communities, will take place Wednesday evening, Feb. 1, and you can watch it online. — an announcement from YWCA Greenwich

Panel members will also discuss solutions for a more equitable and just response to climate change in the state. “The impact of climate change on all of our daily lives, from utility costs to air quality and vulnerability to flooding are deeply concerning, and the impact on communities of color is devastating,” said Mary Lee Kiernan, YWCA Greenwich president and CEO. “We hope this discussion will be the impetus for change that will bring climate justice to all our communities.”

The panel discussion, “Climate Justice in Connecticut” is this year’s Coretta Scott King and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Annual Conversation.
