Maureen Murphy Kenefick of New Canaan; a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, died April 25, following a brief struggle with brain cancer in her beloved thatch cottage in Ireland surrounded by her family. She was 68. She was born on March 27, 1955 in Rolla, Missouri, to James Murphy and Maryann Murphy. Maureen was a Registered Nurse for more than 40 years and spent over three decades at Stamford Hospital working on Labor and Delivery, in Case Management and on Maternity. In the last few years of her career she served as a school nurse at several schools in the Darien Public School system.

Kenneth Zerbe died peacefully with his wife by his side in Darien on April 10 after a long battle with cholangiocarcinoma. He was 49. Ken was born in 1973 to Allen Zerbe and Lee Denison and grew up in Utah. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Utah State University, where he double majored in finance and economics and minored in psychology. After graduating from college, he moved to New York City to pursue a career in finance.

Michael Alcorn died peacefully on April 18, 2023 at the Sentara Williamsburg Regional Hospital, after succumbing to a long illness with non-Hodgkins lymphoma. Born in Streator, Illinois in 1944, Mike immigrated with his family to Calgary, Alberta in 1957. There he attended the University of Calgary and served as president of the student body. Following graduation, Mike moved to Toronto and worked for various package goods corporations as a marketing executive. There he met Jane, his beloved wife and stalwart partner for 51 years.

Dr. Raymond L. Kotch, 101, of New Canaan, passed away peacefully of natural causes at his home on April 8, 2023. Ray grew up in New York City, and attended Erasmus Hall, DeWitt Clinton High School, and City University of New York. He graduated from the College of Dental Medicine of Columbia University, and was an attending oral surgeon at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City. In the early 1950s, Ray served as a captain in the United States Army during the Korean War.
