Jeanne Marie Chafee Pellegrino of East Hampton entered eternal rest on April 8 after a long and beautiful life. She was 97.

Jeanne Pellegrino, 97, passed away on April 8.
Born on Jan. 14, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Teresa and Louis Worms. Jeanne worked as a secretary at the Marlee Co. in Stamford where she met her husband, Michael L. Pellegrino. They celebrated over 57 years of marriage and made their home in Stamford.
In 2017, Jeanne relocated to be near her family in East Hampton. She was a member of The Church of St. Cecilia in Stamford and The Piedmont Club in Darien.
Jeanne enjoyed a very active social life, loved to travel and keep current on the lives and activities of family members. She was known for her unique ability to always make you feel special with her quick wit and generous compliments.
In addition to her husband, Michael L. Pellegrino, she was pre-deceased by her sisters Olive A. Pelletti Lynch and Lillian M. Worms.
She will be missed and long remembered by her nephew and godson, Joseph A. Pelletti (Virginia) of East Hampton; their childre,n Sharon Dufour (Michael), Janet Pelletti and Joseph M. Pelletti (Lisa); and their grandchildren, Jeffrey and Thomas Dufour, Jillian and Brandon Jarzabski, and Melina and Capriana Pelletti. Jeanne is also survived by her sister-in-law, Laura Pellegrino; and her children, Lawrence, David, and Helen of Stamford ;and nephew, Joseph Pellegrino (Jennifer) of Bridgeport.
