A $300 Bose SoundLink speaker was reported stolen Wednesday, Aug. 19, from a living room in a Hoyt Street house on the rental market, police said.
The speaker, owned by a 24-year-old Darien man, had been left on a table next to a laptop computer, but although the speaker was taken, the laptop remained. Nothing else was reported missing.
The rear door of the home was found to be open on Tuesday, Aug. 18. There was no sign of forced entry, and the door had a keypad lock, so someone would have needed the pass code to get in. Real estate agents have been bringing propsective tenants to the house to look at it.
