Police Commission Appoints Capt. Jeremiah Marron Jr. Darien’s Next Police Chief, Starting April 1

The Darien Police Commission has chosen Capt. Jeremiah P. Marron Jr. as Darien’s 12th police chief. — an announcement from the Darien Police Commission
“The Police Commission is highly confident that Captain Marron will continue to
serve the Town of Darien and the Police Department with excellence, integrity and professionalism in his new role,” the commission said in a news release Thursday. Choosing a police chief is “one of the top roles and responsibilities of the Police Commission,” the announcement said. Marron will officially become police chief on April 1, after the current police chief, Donald B. Anderson, retires. Marron is a 28-year veteran of the department.
