Police on Tuesday morning identified the deceased victim in Thursday night’s plunge of an SUV into Five Mile River as 21-year-old Youssoupha Diagne of Bridgeport. A 21-year-old woman floating face down in the outgoing current was found about 100 yards from the vehicle by Darien police officers who entered the near-freezing water. She was brought ashore at a nearby dock, where officers resuscitated her. She remains in stable condition and is still recovering at a hospital, police said. The two police officers received (unspecified) non-life threatening injuries and are still  recovering, police said.
