Baroque music lover and bibliophile Cornelia Van Rensselaer Goebel Bronson passed away on Dece. 5, 2021 at the age of 90 after a courageous battle with dementia. She was the daughter of Walther F. Goebel and Cornelia Robb Goebel of Greenwich  and New York City. She leaves behind a family who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest. Mrs. Bronson completed her bachelor’s degree at Radcliffe College, earning magna cum laude honors at her double major in music theory and Tudor history.

Roger Benner Bognar died peacefully on April 9, 2021 in Charleston, South Carolina, after a brief illness, three months after the passing of Barbara, his wife of 67 years. He was 90. Born in Massillion, Ohio, Roger grew up near Pittsburgh. He attended the University of Pittsburgh, where he was a second lieutenant in the ROTC and tuba player for the Pitt Marching Band, receiving a bachelor’s degree in business administration before attending the Harvard Business School for his MBA. Prior to attending Harvard, Roger was drafted for active duty for the Korean War.

Thomas A.M. Dekker, 79, passed away peacefully on Nov. 27, 2021. He was born to Mary and William Dekker on July 31, 1942 in Port Chester, New York. The family lived in Greenwich until 1950 and then moved to Noroton Bay in Darien. Tom attended Darien schools and graduated from Darien High School in 1961.

Arlene Roberta Dunn passed away peacefully on Oct. 22, 2021, at Providence Mission Hospital, Mission Viejo, California, surrounded by her loving husband, Thomas J. Dunn, her son, Brian T. Dunn and his love, Ambrea Tafoya, as well as her Pastor, Jim Szeyller of Laguna Niguel Presbyterian Church. She was 76. Arlene was born Sept. 28, 1945 at Christ Hospital, Jersey City, New Jersey, to her parents Gladys M. Brassel (Buchlein) and Warren Ralph Brassel.
