A 51-year-old Darien woman driving a Mini Cooper hit another car on Hoyt Street and was followed by the other driver as she drove to her home on Revere Road — where she drove over the front lawn before parking in the driveway, police said.

The incident happened on Friday, Dec. 8. Police applied for and, on Jan. 5, received an arrest warrant, and the woman, Jennifer Brown, turned herself in at Police Headquarters on Thursday, Jan. 11.
Brown was arrested and charged with two counts of evading responsibility by leaving the scene of a traffic accident. She was released after paying 7% of a $500 bond (that’s $35). She is scheduled to appear Jan. 22 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
